- Mugunghwa Festival
- This festival pays tribute to the spirit of Mr. Namgung Eok, or Hanseo, who became a model for the Korean people, and to create a sense of pride among Hongcheon residents, using his sense of patriotism as a model for county spirit.
The festival is held to commemorate the great spirit of Hanseo, who became a light of Korean people in the midst of a rainstorm of Korean History, as a sage, a statesman, and a forerunning journalist.
He also campaigned for the rose of Sharon to be selected as Korea’s national flower.
